Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated · 2026-05-30
This policy sets out the rules for using Manchester Training Academy: how you must look after your account, how you may use course content, and how to behave on the platform. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses the Platform, including learners and corporate users. By using the Platform you agree to follow it.
2. Your account and access
- You may hold one personal account, and it is for your use only.
- Keep your login details private and secure.
- Do not share your login, join links or session tokens, and do not let anyone else use your account.
- We use technical controls to detect and prevent account sharing, including ejecting a second device that tries to join a live session on the same login. Sharing is treated as a serious breach.
3. Using course content
Course content is licensed to you for your own learning only. You must not:
- Copy, download (beyond any download we expressly provide), record or screen-capture the content.
- Share, republish, resell or distribute the content to anyone else.
- Use the content commercially or to create a competing product.
- Remove or interfere with any notices, watermarks or access controls.
4. Prohibited conduct
When using the Platform you must not:
- Use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory or infringing.
- Harass, threaten or abuse our staff, tutors or other learners.
- Attempt to bypass security or access controls, or access areas or content you are not entitled to.
- Scrape, harvest or use automated tools or bots to access the Platform.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code or content.
- Introduce malware, or otherwise disrupt or overload the Platform.
- Impersonate anyone, or collect other users' personal data.
5. Behaviour in live sessions
- Treat tutors and other learners with respect.
- Do not engage in harassment, hate speech or abusive behaviour.
- Do not record, photograph or capture a session or other participants without consent.
- Follow reasonable instructions from the tutor.
6. Content you post
Anything you post, such as reviews or notes, must be accurate, lawful and respectful, and must not infringe anyone's rights. We may moderate or remove content that breaches this policy, and we are not responsible for content posted by users.
7. Monitoring and enforcement
We log security and abuse events to keep the Platform safe. If you breach this policy we may take action proportionate to the breach, including:
- A warning.
- Suspending or permanently closing your account.
- Withdrawing your access to one or more Courses without a refund.
- Reporting to the authorities and taking legal action where appropriate.
8. Reporting misuse
If you see misuse or have a concern, tell us through our contact form or email [email protected].
